Joining a yoga teacher training program is a beautiful life changing event and commitment. Below we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions from past participants. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us!

Yoga Teacher Training

Will I receive a yoga teacher certificate?
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion. We do require everyone complete the full 200 hours and pass qualification tests.

I love yoga but I don’t know if I want to teach yoga, can I still take the course?

Yes, many students come to yoga teacher training because they love yoga and want to learn more. At Dosha Yoga Teacher Training, it is as much about the personal journey Some people are interested in taking the teacher training course for a career change, some would like to do it part time, but other people simply want to learn more. Additionally, some people have no idea what will happen once the complete yoga teacher training but they just never know where life will bring them.


Will I be able to teach yoga right away?

While most yoga studios and fitness facilities will want teachers to have their Yoga Alliance certification, there’s no reason you can’t start teaching your family and friends while you are going through the program. It’s a great way to practice so when you audition at yoga studio or other facilities you are more prepared as lack of experience may count against you. Just be sure when you’re practicing to only teach what you know well.

What can I do once I have my 200 Hour Yoga Instructor designation from Yoga Alliance?

The possibilities are endless. Some people choose to have it just for the knowledge and sense of accomplishment. Others teach full time at studios, some like doing non profit work, other teach part time. Our personal favorite is teaching at exotic locations for a work/exchange program.

Pricing and Payment Plans

What is included in the cost?
Training and manual

What is not included?
Books and each participants is required to take 10 yoga classes outside of the training. All Green Locus classes are approved while outside classes require pre-approval. We have a discounted pass to purchase for the Green Locus classes.

What payment plans do you offer?
We require a $499 deposit to secure your slot. We offer monthly payment plans.

What if I have to cancel my training?
Your deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel after the training has begun, you will be responsible for any remaining balances for the full cost of tuition. However, you may continue the program at a later date, if any other programs are schedule through Dosha Yoga Teacher Training

I have a prior engagement and will miss a few days of training, can I still attend?

Our training program has strict standards to ensure our students can apply for the 200 hour Yoga Alliance designation. However, at the student’s own expense alternate arrangements may be made through Skype sessions or alternate trainings at our studio locations in Tampa or Orlando, Florida. All make ups must be pre-approved and may occur an additional expense. Please contact us for additional questions.

Do you offer any discounts?

We offer an Early Bird Special with $500 off until January 2, 2017 A $499 deposit secures your slot and locks in your rate.

Do you offer any payment plans?

Yes, the payment plan requires an agreed upon schedule to start anytime after the deposit but before the training program is over. To participate in the payment program, we require auto draft payments from your debit or credit card.

I'm a military spouse, I heard I can attend for free is that true?

Eligible military spouses can apply for a MyCAA scholarship. It all depends on your spouses rank. For more information check out our MyCAA page. Please note, you must start the scholarship process at least 30 days before the training.

Is it okay if I miss a training date? I have a previous engagement.

To be registered with the Yoga Alliance there are strict guidelines for teacher training programs. However, we understand there are times where coming to yoga teacher training on a specific day isn't an option. We do offer make up sessions if one is available at a concurrent training as well as options in separate workshops. Additional sessions may or may not incur an additional expense depending on the schedule and topic covered.
